Aloo paratha is an Indian dish that people make for breakfast or in some places for dinner. Although Aloo Paratha is a West Indian dish, this dish is very popularly prepared and eaten in the Northern part of India and is one of the famous dishes of the Northern part. Aloo Paratha is a potato filled ball of dough that is rolled and fried in oil on a griddle. Aloo Paratha is such a dish.
Which we make for breakfast in the morning, or in the children's box, or some people even for dinner. Aloo Paratha is very easy to make at home and it is also a delicious dish that can be prepared in less time. Although Aloo Paratha is made everywhere in India, this dish is made with great pleasure and eaten with great pleasure in Punjab.
Ingredients needed to make aloo paratha
Wheat flour, potatoes and ghee are the main ingredients needed to make Aloo Paratha and in addition ingredients like garlic, green chillies and salt and other spices are required. If all the ingredients for making aloo paratha are not available then we can easily get them from the market.
• 5 to 6 boiled potatoes.
• 2 cups wheat flour.
• 3 to 4 teaspoons of ginger garlic paste.
• 8 to 9 green chillies.
• 1 tsp lemon juice.
• 1 teaspoon of turmeric.
• 1/4 tsp asafoetida.
• 2 tbsp coconut coriander paste.
• Salt (as per taste).
• Sugar (to taste).
• Oil or ghee (as needed).
•Water (as needed).
Recipe to make Aloo Paratha
• First of all wash the potatoes and put them in the cooker add water and close the lid of the cooker and let the cooker cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
• Then wait until the cooker cools down.
• Meanwhile take wheat flour in a big bowl and add little oil and salt to it and mix it well and knead it well by adding water as needed.
• And cover it and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes so that the dough soaks well.
• Now that the cooker is cool, open the lid and take out the potatoes and peel them.
• Then mash or mash the potatoes.
• Now keep a pan on medium heat and add some oil in it, when it gets hot add garlic, green chillies, turmeric, asafoetida and coconut coriander paste and mix it well and then add mashed potato, sugar, salt and lemon juice and mix it well. Do it and switch off the gas.
• Your batter is ready.
• Now take the kneaded dough apply some oil to your hands and make medium size balls of the dough and also make balls of saran.
• Then fill the ball of potato with dry wheat flour and roll the ball round.
• And then heat the tawa on medium flame and add some ghee or oil to it and put the rolled paratha on the tawa and oil it from both sides and fry it on both sides.
• Roll all the balls in this way and fry them on a griddle.
• Your aloo paratha is ready to serve, you can serve this paratha with butter.
Serving suggestions
Hot Aloo Paratha can be eaten with ghee, butter or butter and also Aloo Paratha can be eaten with tomato sauce.
